Robert Fogarty has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Robert is currently working at AerCap as the Director of Engineering Services since March 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Manager of Engineering Services in the same company from August 2019 to August 2022.
Before joining AerCap, Robert worked at CAE Parc Aviation as the Engineering Services Manager from November 2015 to August 2019. Robert also held the position of Part 21 Design Engineer from July 2015 to October 2015.
From 2013 to 2015, Robert worked at Shannon Aerospace as a Structures Engineer, providing technical support for aircraft structural repairs. Robert was also a Part 21J Designer, focusing on aircraft interiors and structures.
In 2014, they underwent training as a Part 21 J Design Engineer at Lufthansa Technik AG.
From 2011 to 2012, Robert served as a Structures Engineer at Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd., where they provided technical support for aircraft structural repairs and assisted with repair methods for Boeing 737 50K.
In 2011, they were the Value Added Facility (VAF) Team Leader at Assystem UK, leading a team of engineers and focusing on Lean Engineering initiatives for Rolls-Royce Aero Engines. Robert also worked as part of the AMI Team (C/O Rolls Royce Plc) during that time.
Robert started their career in 2006 at Air Atlanta Aero Engineering as an Engineer and Planning Officer. Robert worked in technical services at Shannon Aerospace as well during that time. Prior to that, they were employed as a Maintenance Systems Engineer at ESS Ltd. in 2006.
In 2003, Robert had a Co-Operative Education Placement (Engineering) at PWA International Ireland, which was facilitated by the University of Limerick.
Robert Fogarty attended the University of Limerick from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
