Shane Walshe

Shane Walshe has a strong background in the aviation industry, with significant work experience at various companies. Shane began their career at SR Technics, where they worked as an Aircraft Engineer from October 2002 to August 2007. During this time, they received on-the-job training in Dublin Airport hangars and completed their apprenticeship and EASA PART 66 B1 license exams.

In 2007, Walshe joined Aer Lingus as an Aircraft Engineer and Technical Shift Supervisor. Their responsibilities included performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Airbus A319/A320/A321/A330 aircraft, as well as attending to aircraft in AOG situations at short notice. Shane held this position until February 2015.

Walshe then moved to Airbus A330 Fleet Technical Manager role at Aer Lingus from February 2015 to February 2017. In this role, they managed technical support for the airline's A330 fleet.

In 2017, Walshe joined AerCap, where they have held various technical support management positions. Shane started as a Technical Support Manager in February 2017 and was promoted to Senior Technical Support Manager in October 2018. From April 2019 to January 2023, they served as the Director of Technical Support. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Technical Support, starting in January 2023.

Shane Walshe attended Dublin Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aviation Technology.
