Maxime Delgrange

Optical Engineer at Aerospacelab

Maxime Delgrange has a diverse work experience in the field of optical engineering. They started their career in 2015 with an internship at Thales Alenia Space, where they studied the use of optical fiber sensors for thermal cartography in satellites and launchers.

In 2016, Maxime worked at Imagine Optic, setting up a high-power laser beam shaping system for non-destructive testing. They were responsible for purchasing and characterizing the components of the optical system.

From 2016 to 2017, Maxime worked at Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology, conducting research lab work in the optical fiber sensing group. They tested selective filling techniques for hollow-core photonic crystal fibers and developed splice techniques for hollow-core systems.

In 2017, Maxime had two roles. First, as a Master Thesis Student at OHB System, they focused on their thesis project. They then worked as an Experimental Techniques Engineer at XLIM, studying light-matter interactions within hollow-core optical fibers and performing characterizations on iodine vapor in sealed frequency standards.

From 2018 to 2022, Maxime worked at LAMBDA-X S.A. as a System Engineer. Their responsibilities included test bench concepts and interfacing, optical system conception, assembly, test, and verification in the fields of biology, ophthalmics, and industry. They also worked as a Project Engineer Photonics during this time.

In 2022, Maxime joined Qplox Engineering as a Bio-imaging System Engineer, where they worked until 2023.

In 2023, Maxime joined Aerospacelab as an Optical Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Throughout their work experience, Maxime has gained expertise in various areas of optical engineering, including system engineering, bio-imaging, test bench concepts, and optical system conception and verification.

Maxime Delgrange completed their education with a Master's degree in Photonics from the Abbe School of Photonics in 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Optronique, Photonique from the National School of Applied Science and Technology between 2014 and 2017. Maxime attended CPGE Lycée Henri Wallon from 2012 to 2014, focusing on Physics and Chemistry. Maxime began their educational journey in 2009 at Lycée Henri Wallon, where they obtained a Baccalauréat Scientifique with a specialization in Physics and Chemistry in 2012.
