Lydia Hedge

Lydia Hedge is a skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace sector, currently working at AeroVironment since September 2021, where responsibilities include supporting design tasks and qualifying composite materials for the Jump-20 platform. Prior to this role, Lydia served as a Structural Analyst and Associate Mechanical Engineer at Northrop Grumman, performing stress analyses and CAD work using Femap, NX Nastran, Abaqus, and Creo. Additional experience includes tutoring in engineering subjects at Cal Poly and a Mechanical Design Internship at Orbital ATK, where design work and collaboration on tooling fixtures took place. Lydia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, obtained in 2018.
