Magdalene Assimon

Magdalene Assimon is currently serving as the Director of Science at Aetion since August 2022. Prior to this role, Magdalene held multiple positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from September 2014 to June 2022, including Research Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, with a focus on nephrology research supported by prestigious NIH fellowships. Magdalene's earlier experience includes work as a Pharmacist at Walmart from 2008 to 2014 and completion of a Nephrology Pharmacotherapy Fellowship at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MS in Epidemiology from the University at Albany, a PharmD from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from SUNY Geneseo.
