Cora Middleton

Cora Middleton has worked in the tech industry since 1997. In that time, they have held a variety of roles with different companies. From 1997 to 2001, they were a Software Engineer at Gene Logic, Inc., where they were responsible for creating and maintaining tools for integrating clients' gene expression and clinical sample data into GeneExpress. From 2001 to 2003, they were a Software Engineer at Danger, Inc., where they developed a drop-in replacement for the company's RADIUS carrier integration system. From 2003 to 2006, they were a Software Engineering Manager at Danger, Inc., leading the development team responsible for core Danger service components. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Sr. Program Manager at Microsoft, where they had ownership and management of service-side instant messaging and reporting/business intelligence programs. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Mobile Engineering Manager and Content Engineering Manager at Sugar Inc. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Consultant at LoadOut Technologies and an Independent Consultant. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Mobile Lead and iOS Lead at Whistle Labs. Finally, from 2015 to present, they have been a Director, Cloud Platform, Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Services, and Senior Software Engineer at Afero. In their current role, they lead and scales the infrastructure and applications teams responsible for developing, deploying, and operating Afero Platform clouds. Cora also mentors and advises colleagues across the organization.

Cora Middleton attended the University of San Francisco from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics. Prior to that, they attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 1994 to 1995, but did not receive a degree. Cora also attended Illinois Central College from 1991 to 1993, studying Computer Science.
