Russ Kirby

Russ Kirby currently serves as the Vice President and Global Operations Engineering Manager at FM Affiliated, overseeing global risk engineering operations since February 2022. Previously, from 2006 to February 2022, Russ held various roles at FM Global, culminating in the position of Vice President and Operations Engineering Manager for London operations, where responsibilities included risk engineering management for the UK and MEA regions. Other roles at FM Global included Senior Account Manager/Underwriter, Group Manager Account Engineering, and Field Engineering Group Manager, focusing on risk assessment and engineering solutions. Earlier experience includes serving as an Account Engineer at Affiliated FM and as a Loss Prevention Engineer at FM Global. Russ began a career in engineering as an Apprentice/Student/Engineer at GEC Alstom. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Fire & Explosion Engineering from the University of Leeds and a BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University.
