Sue Snyman

Sue Snyman is a highly experienced professional in wildlife conservation and environmental policy, currently serving as a Technical Advisor for the Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association and as a Darwin Initiative Expert Committee member with the Biodiversity Challenge Funds. Snyman's extensive background includes roles as a Technical Advisory Board member at Conserve Global and Research Director at The African Leadership University, alongside significant contributions to the IUCN as Vice-Chair of the Tourism and Protected Areas Specialist Group. Snyman's previous experience encompasses serving as a Board Member for Children in the Wilderness in South Africa, focusing on sustainable conservation education for rural children, and holding research fellow positions at both the University of Cape Town and Wilderness Safaris. Academic credentials include a Research Doctorate in Resource Economics and a Master of Business Science in Economics, both obtained from the University of Cape Town.
