Asad Mian M.D.

Asad Mian MD, PhD is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Aga Khan University since September 2022 and serves as the Director of Critical Creative Innovative Thinking (CCIT) since December 2013, an initiative fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in biomedicine and healthcare. Previously, Asad held the position of Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Aga Khan University Hospital from August 2013 to March 2023, where research focused on evidence-based quality initiatives in low-resource emergency departments. Asad's academic experience includes roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Texas Children's Hospital between August 2008 and June 2013. Educational credentials include a Medical Degree and a PhD in Molecular and Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine, and an MBBS from Aga Khan University.
