Yuan Shao

Yuan Shao has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Yuan is currently working at Agora as the Director, a position they have held since October 2021.

Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Microsoft, starting in 2009. Yuan'sroles at Microsoft include serving as the DIR CSA (Cloud Solution Architect) Director in the Customer Success segment, where they led the cloud growth business and the team of Azure Apps Development & Infrastructure in China. Yuan was responsible for the technical delivery of Azure Apps, Infrastructure & Security, driving the deployment of customer workloads onto Azure and providing guidance and recommendations to overcome blockers. Yuan held this position from July 2020 to October 2021.

Before becoming the Director, Yuan held various roles at Microsoft, including Technical Delivery Manager from July 2017 to July 2020, PFE (Premier Field Engineer) Manager - Modern Application Domain GCR & KOR from July 2016 to June 2017, PFE Manager - East China from January 2013 to June 2016, and SR. Premier Field Engineer from March 2009 to December 2012.

Yuan also worked as the SQL DBA Leader at Beijing 2008 Olympic Games from November 2007 to March 2009.

Yuan began their career as a Developer at Microsoft Corporation in July 2003 and worked in that role until October 2007.

Yuan Shao's education history began in 1999 when they enrolled at Zhejiang University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Yuan completed their undergraduate education in 2003.

Afterwards, in 2016, Yuan Shao pursued an EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at MIP Politecnico di Milano. Yuan successfully graduated from the program in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Yuan Shao has obtained various certifications. Notably, they earned multiple Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft Certified Trainer (obtained in 2020), Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (obtained in 2020), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (obtained in 2020), and MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure (obtained in 2016). Yuan Shao also holds certifications related to Microsoft Azure, such as MS: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions (obtained in 2016), MS: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions (obtained in 2015), and MS: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (obtained in 2015).
