Michael Lee has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Michael started their career as a Research Associate at Indiana University Bloomington, where they developed high-performance algorithms for quantum dynamics simulation and managed multiple research projects. After that, they worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Northwestern University, focusing on high-performance computing in nano-technology and collaborating with experimentalists using simulation and data analysis. Michael then joined Sandia National Laboratories as a Post-doctoral fellow, where they worked until 2016.

In 2016, Michael Lee joined the University of Pittsburgh as a Senior Systems Administrator, managing high-performance computing clusters and setting up a data center for system backups. Michael then moved to Avere Systems in 2017 and worked as a Member of Technical Staff.

In 2018, Michael Lee joined Microsoft as a Software Engineer, followed by joining Aptiv as a Senior Engineer later that year. At Aptiv, they held various roles, including Team Lead and Senior Research Scientist, until 2020. Michael then joined Motional as a Senior Research Scientist and Team Lead Manager, where they worked until 2021.

In 2021, Michael Lee started working at Caterpillar Inc. as a Perception Architect for Autonomy, and in 2022, they joined Agot.AI as a Principal Engineer. Currently, they hold this position at Agot.AI.

Michael Lee obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China, which they attended from 1999 to 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics at Indiana University Bloomington from 2004 to 2010.
