Qiong Hu has an extensive background in computer vision and research. Qiong is currently working at Agot.AI, where they hold the position of Senior Computer Vision Engineer. Prior to this role, they served as a Computer Vision Engineer and Junior Computer Vision Engineer at the same company. Qiong also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they focused on tracking hand skeletons and detecting free hand gestures using infrared sensors. Qiong proposed a pipeline for interpreting gestures as interaction and manipulation intent in a VR environment and conducted a user study to evaluate system usability. Qiong's experience also includes a teaching assistant role at Fudan University, where they taught physics laboratory regulation and guided students in experiment proposals and project design. Qiong has worked as a Summer Research Scholar at UCLA, responsible for a VR project involving human-computer interaction, programming, and user experiments. Additionally, Qiong worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Fudan University, where they captured images of 2D materials and developed low-contrast object detection algorithms using computer vision techniques.
Qiong Hu pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics at Fudan University from 2015 to 2019. Following this, Qiong went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCLA from 2019 to 2021.
