Shaleni Sivananthen

Shaleni Sivananthen is an experienced professional in investment governance and legal compliance, currently serving as the Head Associate Director of Investment Governance & Business Management at AIA since August 2018, where Shaleni is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports to the Chief Investment Officer. Prior to AIA, Shaleni held the position of Senior Manager in Investment Governance at Standard Chartered Bank and previously served as Assistant Vice President in Derivatives Documentation focusing on legal, risk, and controls. Shaleni's career also includes significant legal advisory roles at Manulife and the Securities Commission Malaysia, contributing expertise in asset management and insurance. Shaleni holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Aberystwyth University and A'Levels from HELP University.
