Lara Velho

Lara Velho is an experienced human resources and operations leader currently serving as the Head of People at Aibidia since January 2024. Prior to this role, Lara held multiple positions at Echobox from September 2019 to January 2024, culminating as Head of HR and Commercial Development. Lara's career also includes serving as Head of Languages at One Third Stories, where an end-to-end language learning subscription was developed, and as Operations Director at Explore Learning, achieving a significant increase in Net Promoter Score. Earlier in the career, Lara contributed to education initiatives as a Fellow and Assistant Director at Teach For India, helping to establish a school in an underprivileged community. Educational qualifications include a Level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management, a Master's in Applied Linguistics from Durham University, and a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Mumbai.
