Katherine Nolan

Katherine Nolan is currently a Research Scientist at AidData. Prior to their current position, they held the position of Conference Chair for the Tufts Energy Conference from March 2013 to March 2014. In this role, Katherine directed the logistics, built and managed the conference team, facilitated sponsor and panel relationships, oversaw the budget, and supervised the marketing efforts for the 2014 Tufts Energy Conference.

Before their time at the Tufts Energy Conference, Katherine was a Research Associate at Innovations for Poverty Action from May 2011 to May 2012. In this role, they implemented evaluations for three Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Projects in Mongolia. Katherine also wrote and negotiated contracts with survey and implementation firms, pretested and developed questionnaires, communicated with government officials, survey firms and Principle Investigators on a regular basis, cleaned and analyzed databases, and wrote detailed reports.

Katherine’s previous experience also includes working at The Fletcher School at Tufts University from October 2012 to May 2014 as part of The Center for International Environmental & Resource Policy. In this role, they researched and wrote reports on various topics for William Moomaw, Professor of International Environmental Policy and the Director of the Center for International Environmental Resource Policy.

Katherine Nolan has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University - The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, with a focus in Development Economics, International Environment and Resource Policy. Katherine also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Amherst College in Development Studies and African Studies.
