Lead Product Designer at Aion Digital

Sajjad Ahmed has a diverse range of work experience in the field of product design. Starting in 2014, they founded their own design company, Sajjad Designs, where they collaborated with various companies and startups to create innovative products across multiple industries. In 2016, they worked as a Visual Designer at TriumF Media and then transitioned to Codematics Inc., where they served as a UI/UX Designer and later became the Lead UI/UX Designer. During their time at Codematics Inc., they designed a universal TV remote control and a blood donation app. In 2017, they joined AT Medics as a Product Designer and eventually became the Lead Product Designer, responsible for applying research-based principles and leading design processes for NHS products. In 2019, they moved on to IDEATE Innovation, where they served as the Head of Product Design, focusing on developing design strategies and translating user requirements into prototypes. In 2020, Sajjad took on the role of Design Mentor at adplist.org, contributing their time and experience to coach fellow designers. Currently, they are working at Aion Digital as the Lead Product Designer, leading the digital design team and designing digital experiences for financial services firms in the UAE and GCC regions.

Sajjad Ahmed completed their Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, from the year 2012 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. These certifications include Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in January 2021, Agile Meets Design Thinking from Coursera in April 2020, and Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google in September 2019. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications in UX Foundations: Interaction Design, Design Thinking: Understanding the Process, Project Management for Designers, UI Design Patterns for Successful Software, Design Sprints, Become a UX Designer from Scratch, and User Experience: The Beginner's Guide from various institutions such as LinkedIn, Interaction Design Foundation (IDF), and The Interaction Design Foundation, between December 2018 and January 2021.
