Diego Barrese

Diego Barrese is an experienced aeronautical engineer with a comprehensive background in airworthiness and compliance management, currently serving as the Manager of Airworthiness & Compliance Standards at Air New Zealand since January 2016. Diego has held various roles, including Acting 787 Fleet Manager and Fleet Technical Manager for Wide Body and Jet fleets, demonstrating expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure high efficiency and adherence to regulatory requirements. Prior to Air New Zealand, Diego spent a decade at Aerolineas Argentinas, progressing through roles such as Aircraft Systems Engineering Team Leader and maintenance instructor. Diego holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and has contributed as an assistant professor in aeronautical courses, showcasing a commitment to both professional excellence and education within the aviation industry.
