Behrooz Badii

Behrooz Badii has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various companies and roles. Starting from 2006, they worked as a Software Engineer at YellowJacket until 2008, followed by a role as a Software Engineer at CapitalStar Systems from 2008 to 2010. Behrooz then joined Morgan Stanley as an Associate from 2010 to 2013. Behrooz then transitioned to Twitter as a Senior Software Engineer from 2013 to 2015 before joining Uber as an Engineer from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Google as an Engineering Manager for multiple teams within Google Docs, where they introduced various improvements and features. After Google, Behrooz worked as an Advisor at Pixie from 2019 to 2020 and at Torq from 2020 to 2022. Behrooz then joined Lyft as a Director of Engineering in 2019, where they held various responsibilities, including being a leader in the Lyft NYC office and identifying new revenue generation opportunities. Currently, Behrooz is the Director of Engineering at Airbnb since 2023.

Behrooz Badii began their education in computer science at Central Connecticut State University in 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in the subject in 2003. Behrooz furthered their studies at Columbia University from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
