Alex Prokopik's work experience spans over a decade and includes roles in various engineering capacities. Alex started as a lifeguard at Wiltondale Swimming Pool in 2008. Alex then worked as an R&D Engineering Intern at STX LLC in 2012 and as a Reliability Engineering Co-op at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. the same year. In 2014, they worked as a Lab Engineer at STX LLC, where they developed studies investigating product performance properties. From 2015-2016, they worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they developed and led new power tools and electromechanical components. From 2016-2018, they continued in the field of Product Engineering, managing innovation projects for five product categories at Under Armour. Subsequently, they became Digital Product Transformation Lead and led cross-functional teams at Under Armour, where they developed and implemented new technologies and processes to enhance speed to market and communication. In 2021, they worked at Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. as a Product Development Engineer, where they built a new mechanical engineering department from the ground up and performed R&D responsibilities, focusing on iterative product development. Alex currently holds the position of Lead Product Engineer at AirBoss Defense Group, where they are responsible for product engineering.

Alex Prokopik received a high school diploma from Towson High School in 2010. From 2010 to 2014, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including Project Management Foundations, Introduction to LEED Certification, Sustainability Strategies, Data-Driven Decision-Making for Business Professionals, Leading Virtually: Vulnerability and Presence when Working from Home, Navigating Environmental Sustainability: A Guide for Leaders, and Learning Amazon SageMaker. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn between 2020 to 2021.
