Prashant Acharya has diverse work experience in the field of electrochemical engineering. Prashant worked as a Lead Engineer at Ionomer Solutions, where they set up a manufacturing facility for fuel cell components, wrote federal research grants, and assisted with fundraising and business development. Prashant was also a graduate research assistant at the University of Arkansas, where they spearheaded efforts to synthesize, characterize and optimize nanocatalysts for electrochemical energy conversion and storage. As a Product Development Intern at Resolute Marine, they conducted techno-economic analysis of wave energy-driven desalination plants, performed cost estimation for a DOE pump design project, and aided in the commissioning of hardware-in-the-loop systems. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Southern Arkansas University, where they set up lab experiments, provided guidance on equipment use, and ensured adherence to safety standards. Currently, Prashant is working as an Electrochemical Engineer at Aircela Inc.

Prashant Acharya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from Southern Arkansas University in the years 2011 to 2015. Subsequently, from 2015 to 2021, they pursued higher education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
