Wayne Pennington has a comprehensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and engineering. Wayne is currently serving as the Head of Cyber and Information Security at Airservices Australia, where they manage the information security of the OneSKY Air Traffic Management upgrade programs. Prior to this, they worked as the System Cyber Security Lead at Jacobs from 2014 to 2020, providing guidance and support in the application of security engineering processes. Wayne also served as a Senior Consultant at EDI Solutions, Project Manager/Team Lead at Raytheon, Senior Engineer at Boeing Defence Australia in Brisbane, and Engineer at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. Wayne Pennington began their career as a Student Tutor at the Queensland University of Technology.

Wayne Pennington holds a Master's degree in Engineering Science from the University of Adelaide. Wayne also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Avionics from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). In addition, they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of South Australia. Furthermore, they completed a Diploma of Project Management from the University of New England in 2011.
