Henri Almgren

Henri Almgren has worked in the legal field since 2016. Henri began their career as a Legal Trainee at Asianajotoimisto Jarkko Pulkkinen Oy in 2016. Henri then moved to Turre Legal Oy, where they served as an Associate Lawyer, Legal Advisor, and Legal Trainee. In 2019, they joined DLA Piper as an Associate in IP & Technology, where they structured, drafted, and negotiated commercial IT agreements for enterprises and other large companies, provided advice in IPR and GDPR related matters, and participated in major IT outsourcing and other IT projects. Currently, Henri is a Legal Counsel at Aiven, where they design, drafts, and leads the legal negotiations of a variety of sales, partner sales, marketplace (GCP, Azure, AWS Marketplace), OEM, VAR and data processing agreements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA). Henri also continuously develops Aiven's internal legal processes and provides support for privacy related matters.

Henri Almgren obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Lapland in 2017, having studied Law from 2014-2017. Henri then went on to obtain a Master of Laws (LLM) from the same university, graduating in 2019. In 2018, they obtained the Asianajajatutkinto / Finnish Bar Examination from Suomen Asianajajaliitto. In 2021, they obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
