Jiro Sakamoto has a diverse work experience in the food and nutrition industry, spanning over several decades. jiro started their career at Ajinomoto North America, Inc. in 1989, where they worked as a Senior Director for 25 years. In 2015, they joined Ajinomoto Co., Inc. as a Corporate Executive Officer and served in that role until 2016. jiro then took on the position of Corporate VP and GM of Food R&D at Ajinomoto Co., Inc. in 2019. After two years, they moved on to become the CEO of Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc. in 2021. Prior to their time at Ajinomoto, they also worked at Promasidor as a Research and Development Officer in 2017.

Jiro Sakamoto earned a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology from Kyushu University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985.
