Chuba Ezekwesili

Chuba Ezekwesili has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Summer Analyst at Transparency International and then as a Resident Technology Assistant at Claremont McKenna College. In 2012, they became a Research Analyst at the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC), where they conducted research and developed frameworks for policy briefs and technical reports. Chuba also managed program activities and engagements sponsored by various organizations.

In 2014, Ezekwesili joined The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) as a Research Analyst. In this role, they researched, analyzed, and wrote on macroeconomic, financial, and policy topics, and managed public/private dialogue in the Science and Technology sector. In 2015, they simultaneously started working as a Design & Innovation Consultant at the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), where they collaborated with the Director General to improve reception of reports and introduced infographics to data reports.

Ezekwesili co-founded Akanka in 2015, where they served as the Co-Creator and CEO. Chuba aligned the business strategy with the company's values, mission, and vision and determined the venture building, partnership, and investment strategy. In 2016, they joined ImpactMatters (now Charity Navigator) as a Research Assistant, conducting literature reviews and analyzing evidence of impact and monitoring systems.

From 2019 to 2022, Ezekwesili worked at Future Africa as a Co-Creator and Design & Innovation Partner. Chuba designed, built, and managed early-stage processes and led the team. In 2021, they joined On Deck as a Founding Design Fellow until 2022. Currently, they are a Design Fellow at Coho, a learning network connecting learning with experience to empower individuals in their lives, careers, and organizations.

Chuba Ezekwesili completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma in Economics at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales from 2006 to 2008. Chuba then pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Claremont McKenna College from 2008 to 2012. After their undergraduate studies, they attended Yale University from 2016 to 2017 and obtained a Master of Arts in International & Development Economics. In 2018 to 2019, Chuba Ezekwesili pursued further education in Computer Software Engineering and received a Front End Development Certification from freeCodeCamp.
