Tony J Simon

Tony J Simon, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cognitive science and neurodevelopmental disorders. Tony J is currently the VP and Head of Cognitive Science at Akili Interactive. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Science Translation Advisor at REACT Neuro. Tony J also held various roles at the University of California, Davis - School of Medicine, including Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, MIND Institute Associate Director for Behavioral Sciences, and Associate Director of IDDRC. Tony J co-founded and served as CEO/Chief Science Officer of Cognivive, Inc., a digital neurotherapeutics company. Additionally, they have been involved in editorial roles at the Journal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Frontiers, and the American Journal on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Earlier in their career, they conducted research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and served as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at The National Institute on Drug Abuse. Tony J began their career as an Assistant Professor at Furman University.

Tony J Simon, Ph.D. received their Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from The University of Sheffield in 1985. In 1991, they completed a Postdoc in Psychology & Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2016, they attended the Biomedical and Engineering Entrepreneurship Academy at the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management.
