John Wilson

John Wilson is currently the VP of Sales at Akridata. Prior to their current role, John served as the Automotive OEM Sales Director at ANSYS, Inc. from November 2016 to May 2021. In this role, John led a team of Global Client Executives and was responsible for achieving sector-leading growth.

Before joining ANSYS, John was with Lawrence Technological University from January 2006 to December 2012, where they served as an advisory board member and adjunct faculty member for the Masters in Mechatronics Program. In this role, John created and taught curriculum covering control theory, algorithm development, and implementation of control systems.

From October 2002 to December 2016, John was with National Instruments, where they served as the Automotive Sales Director. In this role, John led the National Instruments Hardware-in-the-Loop and Simulation go-to-market team and was responsible for sales, marketing, and product strategy. During their time with National Instruments, John received three consecutive President's Club awards.

Prior to their role as Automotive Sales Director, John served as the District Sales Manager from January 1998 to December 2002. Before joining National Instruments, John worked as a Computer Engineer at Motorola from January 1997 to December 1998.

John Wilson has a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. John also has a certification from Kellogg Executive Education in Product Strategy.
