Leigh Hunnicutt

Leigh Hunnicutt has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Aktiv Pharma Group since April 2023. Prior to this, Leigh worked as the Head of Quality at Applied Molecular Transport from August 2021 to March 2023. Leigh also spent a significant portion of their career at Amgen, where they held various positions including Executive Director Global Operations Transformation, Executive Director, Global Operations - Therapeutic Area Head, Director Global Operations, Director, Site Quality Assurance, Sr. Manager Plant Quality, Manufacturing Manager, and Strategic Planning and Operations Manager. Their tenure at Amgen ranged from July 2008 to July 2021. Leigh's early career included roles as a Research Specialist at Human Origins Genotyping Laboratory from June 2005 to June 2006, and as a Research Assistant at Broad Institute from July 2004 to June 2005.

Leigh Hunnicutt holds a Master's Degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They also have a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, they earned two Bachelor's Degrees, one in Molecular and Cellular Biology and another in Anthropology, from the University of Arizona.
