Barry Cottrell

Barry Cottrell has extensive experience in procurement and sourcing. Barry is currently working as the Head of Procurement, Chemicals at Ahlstrom-Munksjö since 2022. Before that, they held the position of PR Procurement Director at Nouryon starting in 2018. Prior to joining Nouryon, Barry worked at AkzoNobel in various roles, including Spend Area Director AkzoNobel Sourcing and Business Unit Procurement Director. Barry also served as the Business Manager Americas at AkzoNobel from 2005 to 2013.

Barry Cottrell completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton in 1980. Barry then pursued a Master of Philosophy degree in Organic Chemistry from the same university, which they completed in 1983. Continuing their education, Barry attended Henley Business School from 1991 to 1994 and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on International Business, specifically in the area of procurement partnerships.
