Drew Marold

Drew Marold has over 18 years of work experience in various roles related to DevOps engineering, build/release engineering, and woodworking.

In 2005, Drew started their career as a Build/Release Engineer at Monster, where they worked on .NET builds and maintained CruiseControl. Drew then moved on to neoSaej Corp. in 2007 as a Senior Tools & Release Engineer, responsible for maintaining the Subversion source control system and developing tools and infrastructure to support the engineering team.

In 2008, Drew joined Unidesk Corporation as a Senior Tools & Release Engineer, where they implemented a build system with continuous integration and developed virtual appliances using rPath technology. Drew worked there until 2011 before transitioning to Empirix as a Build Engineer, responsible for building and releasing software.

In 2014, Drew joined Blue Coat Systems as a Senior Staff Build/Release Engineer, focusing on building and releasing software and managing tools, infrastructure, and processes. Drew also migrated source code from repositories into Perforce and built out a secure development environment.

From 2016 to 2019, Drew worked at Symantec as a Senior Staff Build/Release Engineer, following the acquisition of Blue Coat Systems. Drew'sresponsibilities included builds, releases, tools, and managing VMware systems.

Starting in 2019, Drew worked at HPE SimpliVity as a Senior Release/DevOps Engineer, where they specialized in release and DevOps engineering.

In 2020, Drew joined Datto, Inc. as a Senior DevOps Engineer, focusing on DevOps engineering until 2023 when they moved on to Alakai Technologies Corporation in the same role.

Outside of their tech career, Drew also has experience working at Yalpin' Lizards Woodshop since 2007 as a Woodworker, creating handcrafted wooden items.

Drew Marold attended Framingham State University from 1988 to 1991, majoring in Computer Science. The information does not mention the completion of a degree.
