Heidar Pirzadeh

Heidar (Amir) Pirzadeh, Ph.D. has worked in various roles throughout their career. From 2021, they have been the Director of Product and Labs at AlayaCare, where they lead product management and productization of data solutions to support the company's customer base handling millions of monthly patient visits. Heidar (Amir) is also responsible for overseeing product development and delivery of AlayaLabs initiatives.

Before their current role, Heidar worked at SAP from 2013 to 2021. During this time, they held several positions including Head of AI Preview Lab and AI Strategist at CXAI, where they built teams to develop smart AI solutions. Heidar (Amir) also served as the Enterprise AI Architect of SAP Commerce, leading teams in identifying value creation opportunities using AI/ML. Additionally, Heidar was the Founder/Lead of Internal Venture, leading the SmartAgents (SAGE) venture to embed intelligence into SAP products and reduce release testing costs. Heidar (Amir) initially joined SAP as the Local Lead of a cross-functional "System Team" responsible for the release readiness of SAP Commerce.

Prior to working at SAP, Heidar pursued their Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University from 2008 to 2012. Their research focused on developing a novel machine learning-based behavioral analysis approach to understand running systems. Heidar (Amir) also worked as a Teaching Assistant and Teaching Fellow during their time at Concordia.

Heidar's earlier experience includes research assistant roles at Université de Montréal and Université Laval, where they worked on projects related to security frameworks and proof-carrying code.

Heidar (Amir) Pirzadeh, Ph.D. holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which they obtained from Concordia University between 2008 and 2012. Prior to this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Université de Montréal in 2008. Heidar (Amir) also has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Université Laval, which they earned from 2006 to 2008.
