Rahul Deshpande

Rahul Deshpande is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in the electrical and infrastructure sectors, currently serving as the Project Manager for Customer Connections at AESO since February 2012. In this role, Rahul leads multiple transmission and distribution projects, ensuring effective collaboration with Transmission and Distribution Facility Owners and Market Participants to connect customers to Alberta's Interconnected Electric System. Prior positions at AESO include Senior Governance Analyst and Senior Operations Analyst, where Rahul contributed to the development of the Operational Governance Framework and managed operations processes for transmission grid changes. Earlier experience includes a Business Development Officer role at Polymer Research Technologies, where Rahul successfully led a business plan competition, and various project management positions at Scantec International LLC. Rahul holds an MBA from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
