Jon Menzies-Smith

Jon Menzies-Smith has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jon is currently employed as the Head of Technology Innovation at Aldermore Bank since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Dojo - a Paymentsense brand in 2021. From 2018 to 2021, Jon held the role of Backend Guild & Team Lead at Tandem Bank, where they led the backend guild and successfully rebuilt the bank's retail banking platform using event-driven microservice architecture. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Zopa in 2018. In 2016 and 2018, Jon was a Senior Developer at AppyParking, where they played a key role in developing a smart parking platform utilizing SOA/microservices and DDD principles. Prior to these roles, they worked at Salesforce as a Lead Software Engineer from 2013 to 2016, Moonpig.com as a Senior .Net Developer from 2012 to 2013, LBi as a Lead .Net Developer from 2008 to 2012, and Tullo Marshall Warren as a Web Developer from 2005 to 2008.

Jon Menzies-Smith completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Internet Engineering from the University of Exeter between 2001 and 2005.
