Robert King

Chief Development Officer at Alector

Robert King began their career as a scientist at Molecular Devices in 1988. Robert then moved to Scios in 1991, where they worked as a scientist for two years. In 1993, they joined COR Therapeutics as Director of Technical Operations. Robert held this position for ten years, until they left to join Millennium Pharmaceuticals as Director of Technical Operations in 2002. Robert left Millennium after one year to join Rinat Neuroscience, a division of Pfizer, as VP of Product Development. Robert held this position for three years before moving to Bayhill Therapeutics in 2006, where they became VP of Product Development and Manufacturing. Robert left Bayhill in 2011 to join Alector as Chief Development Officer.

Robert King pursued a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that, they completed a BS in Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington.

Robert King reports to Arnon Rosenthal, CEO. They work with Clare Hunt - Head of People, Calvin Yu - VP of Finance, and Christian C. Simonsen - Head of Biologics Manufacturing.
