Missy Keney

EVP & Chief Engagement Officer at Alerus Financial Corp

As director of marketing and client experience, Missy Keney oversees the company’s advertising, communication and client experience initiatives across all Alerus markets, and in all product areas including banking, mortgage, retirement, and wealth management. She thrives on challenges, and looks for opportunities to positively enhance Alerus, add value to client relationships, and make clients interactions with Alerus more seamless.

A member of Alerus’ leadership council team, Missy joined Alerus in 2005 and progressed through a series of leadership roles within the retail sales team before joining marketing in 2007.

Missy received a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and also earned the Certified Financial Marketing Professional designation through the Institute of Certified Bankers. Missy is a past-president for the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota. She has also done volunteer work for Junior Achievement and the United Way of Cass Clay, including leading Alerus’ employee campaign for six years.

Missy makes her home in Fargo, ND, with her husband and their two daughters.
