Todd Coates

Todd Coates has over twenty-five years of experience leading corporate technology, and cyber security teams across oil and gas, transportation, logistics, and technology industries. As CIO for these organizations, he was accountable for all aspects of technology strategy, operations, governance, policy development, incident response practices, business continuity planning/execution, and organizational leadership. He also assisted multiple teams as they transitioned to public companies, including developing Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance practices, and IT general control frameworks. Prior to joining Alias, Mr. Coates served at Chaparral Energy, SandRidge Energy, Chesapeake Energy, Anadarko Petroleum, and Union Pacific Corporation. In addition to serving as part of the Alias leadership team, he provides consulting and organizational support for clients, including assisting with board-level and executive briefings, audit and compliance support, and leadership consulting. Mr. Coates graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Management Science and Computer Systems.
