Dony Ang

Dony Ang has over 15 years of work experience in data science, artificial intelligence, and big data. Currently, they serve as the Principal Data Scientist at Alignment Healthcare, a role they have held since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Lead AI Scientist at Alignment Healthcare from April 2019 to September 2021.

Before joining Alignment Healthcare, Dony founded Radical Labs in April 2016 and served as its Founder. Dony also worked as the Senior Director of Data Science + Big Data at Nativo Inc from February 2017 to February 2019.

Their previous roles include Vice President of Data Intelligence and Architecture at textPlus from April 2014 to April 2016, Head of Data Intelligence / Principal Big Data Architect at OpenX from October 2012 to April 2014, and Co-founder at Flair from September 2012 to September 2013.

Dony also gained experience as the Director of Insight Platforms and Architecture at Meteor Games LLC from November 2010 to December 2011 and as the Director of Datawarehouse / Business Intelligence at Traffic Marketplace from February 2010 to April 2011.

Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of Big Data and Business Intelligence at Electronic Arts from August 2006 to June 2008 and as a Senior Eng. Mgr -Analytics, Data Mining, Experimentation / Senior Business Intelligence Architect at Yahoo Inc. from July 2005 to August 2006.

Dony Ang began their education journey in 2008 by enrolling in the University of Southern California. They pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning. This educational endeavor lasted until 2011.

After completing their Master's degree, Dony Ang joined Chapman University in 2020. They embarked on a Ph.D. program with a double specialization in Computational Data Science and Molecular Biology. The duration of this academic pursuit is expected to span from 2020 to 2024.
