Katja Barnkob

Katja Barnkob has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Katja is currently a board member at Lundbeckfonden / Lundbeck Foundation since 2022. Previously, they worked at ALK for many years where they held various roles such as Project Director, Global CMC development and Project Management, Bestyrelsesmedlem, Senior Project Manager, and Sub Project Team Leader and Chemist. Katja also worked as a Project Coordinator at ALK-Abelló in Linz, Madrid, and Hørsholm. Katja'searliest work experience was as a special student at SSI from 1994 to 1996. Throughout their career, they gained expertise in project management, analytical method development, international cooperation, and writing reports.

Katja Barnkob completed their education in a chronological order. Katja started at Birkerød Gymnasium from 1985 to 1988, where they obtained their student degree with a focus on mathematics and chemistry. Katja then attended Roskilde University from 1989 to 1991 for their basis uddannelsen in naturvidenskab. Following that, they attended Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 1991 to 1996, earning a cand.scient degree in biochemistry. Lastly, they attended the University of Basel from 2005 to 2007, where they attained a University Professional degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine, specializing in ECPM Pharmaceutical Drug Development.
