CJ Tinsley has an extensive work history beginning in 1998 as a Sales Associate at RadioShack. They then worked as a Customer Service Representative at First USA from 1999 to 2001. Following this, CJ worked as a Senior Risk Management Analyst at Citi in 2001, and then as a Senior Sales Associate - Wireless at RadioShack from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they became an Assistant Store Manager at Wireless Zone - Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer, and in 2005, they worked as a Help Desk Analyst at Computer Aid Inc. From 2006 to 2008, CJ worked as a Senior Help Desk Analyst at Bristol Myers Squibb. They then joined All Traffic Solutions in 2008 and took on various roles, including Technical Support Analyst and Senior Technical Support Analyst, until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Customer and Engineering Support Manager and then the Manager of Customer Success & Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at All Traffic Solutions. In 2019, CJ became a Salesforce Administrator at All Traffic Solutions, and in 2020, they were promoted to the role of Director of Customer Success & Information Technology at the same company.

From 1999 to 2003, CJ Tinsley studied Information Systems at the University of Delaware. During this time, CJ obtained a degree in Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, CJ also acquired various certifications, such as USA Archery Level 1 Instructor from USA Archery in October 2019, and Genetec Certified: Fixed automatic license plate recognition system from Genetec in November 2020.
