Chris Callison-Burch is a Visiting Research Scientist at AI2. He is on sabbatical from the University of Pennsylvania where he is an associate professor of Computer and Information Science. At Penn, he teaches the intro to artificial intelligence course, which has one of the highest enrollments of any class on campus, with over 500 students each Fall. His current research interests include combining large language models with symbolic reasoners, AI for education, and using language-based games like Dungeons and Dragons as challenge problems for artificial intelligence. He received his PhD in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh.
