Manufacturing Design Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Alliance Automation, LLC seeks Manufacturing Design Engineer in Van Wert, OH, responsible for identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing designs, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, supporting assembly processes, and ensuring cost-efficiency according to internal process standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

(1)  applying knowledge of mechanical theory and principles, statutory codes, and equipment requirements to improve manufacturing process;

(2) producing designs in accordance to OSHA standards related to safety and ergonomics;

(3) analyzing mechanical drawings supplied by customers;

(4) understanding industrial and GD&T tolerances related to product design and assembly requirements;

(5) incorporating purchased products effectively and efficiently within mechanical designs; and

(6) making necessary adjustments or modifications to engineering drawings to satisfy requirements of custom processing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:       

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufactuing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline;
• one year of engineering experience, including specific experience with project management;
• knowledge of 3D design in SolidWorks.
