Quality Engineering Co-op Summer 2024

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Quality Engineering Interns work in both an office environment when contributing to process/document control and quality assurance activities, and on the shop floor in Van Wert, Ohio for inspecting machined and fabricated components for proper fit, form, and function. The Quality Engineering Interns work closely with the Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors to gain experience in the fields of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

• Component inspections to print
• Standards and Process updates
• Non-Conformance Documentation

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work alongside Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors, Mechanical Engineers, Assemblers, Fabricators, and Machinists
• Learn how to read engineering drawings
• Learn how to audit processes
• Learn the Alliance Quality Management System (QMS) tools
• Participate in FMEA’s, Design Reviews, and Quality Alert/CAR events
• Experience the full project lifecycle of custom automation equipment from quote to final acceptance
