Betsy Cousineau

Betsy Cousineau has worked in the IT industry since 1966. Betsy began their career at Columbia University in the City of New York in 1966, where they held various urban studies positions. In 1970, they were a founding staff member at HAI, Inc. (Hospital Audiences, Inc.). In 1988, they co-owned South South Computers and Computer Network, a retail computer store. In 1989, they worked as an instructional designer for Pitney Bowes, writing 12 computer classes for three manufacturing plants. In 1994, they worked as an independent contractor for AT&T Wireless, Microsoft, Sprint and IBM. In 1981, they were one of three founders of Alliance Enterprises, Inc. and held various positions there, including Senior Technical Writer, Communications, Senior Training Writer, Education, Senior Training Writer, and Education Coordinator in the Project Management Department. Betsy is currently retired from Alliance Enterprises, Inc.

Betsy Cousineau has a diverse educational background, beginning with their Junior High Diploma from Greenwich Country Day School, which they received in 1959. Betsy then attended The Ethel Walker School, where they earned their High School Diploma in 1962. Following that, they attended Wheaton College Massachusetts, where they earned their BA in Sociology and Math interest in 1966. In 1972, they completed a Certificate in Art Management from Harvard Business School in Non-profit Management. Finally, they earned their Masters in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington in 1978, with a focus on Public Administration and Arts Administration.
