Randal Whittaker

Randal Whittaker has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Randal worked at Santander UK from 1993 to 2014, holding various "Head of" roles, including Retail Operations, Sales & Commercial Development, Wealth Management, and Business Development & Client Management. During this time, they were responsible for delivering strategic initiatives, managing operational sales and revenue plans, and overseeing change and risk management. From 2014 to 2018, Whittaker served as the Retail Commercial Director, where they played a key role in designing and delivering strategic and operational plans, focusing on people development, customer service, cost management, and risk management. In 2018, they took on the position of Head of Risk Management, where they were responsible for developing effective risk governance and management oversight, establishing a positive risk management culture, and mitigating operational, financial crime, and conduct risks. Prior to their time at Santander UK, Whittaker worked at Abbey as a Regional Manager, where they successfully managed local business plans, achieved above-plan sales and revenue performance, and maintained budget, risk, and compliance controls.

Randal Whittaker earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Management Studies from Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. Randal completed this degree from 1994 to 1996.
