David Butler

David Butler's work experience includes roles in various companies and organizations. In 1994, they worked as a post-doctoral researcher at AMOLF until 1996. From 1997 to 2003, they held the position of post-doctoral researcher at the University of Southern Denmark and later worked as an Operations Manager at Surface Measurement Systems from 1998 to 2003. David then became the Director of Quality at Quotient Bioresearch Ltd from 2003 to 2012. In 2006, they served as the Chair of the Education and Training Committee at BARQA until 2010. From 2010 to 2016, they were a Director and Trustee at The Poetry Trust. In 2011, they joined Research Quality Association (RQA) as a Director and later became the Chairman from 2014 to 2016. From 2012 to 2022, they held the role of Director of Quality, Safety, Health & Environment at LGC. In 2022, they became the Director of Regulatory Governance at Drug Development Solutions and is currently the VP Corporate Quality at Alliance Pharma.

David Butler obtained a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Southampton between the years 1990 and 1994. Later, between 2009 and 2016, they pursued an RQA MSc in Quality Management in Teaching from Cranfield University.
