Janet Shin has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Janet is currently working at Alliant Health Solutions as the Director of Healthcare Analytics, where they manage healthcare data collection, modeling, and analysis for various healthcare programs. Prior to this, Janet held multiple roles at the Georgia Department of Public Health, including Program Director and Health Systems Program Manager, where they led initiatives in breast and cervical cancer programs, strategic planning, and evaluation. Janet also worked as a Program Evaluator, monitoring and evaluating various cancer control programs. Janet's experience also includes being a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and the Center for Health Promotion Research in Seoul National University. Additionally, they have worked as a Project Manager at Project Malawi at Daeyang Luke Hospital and as an AmeriCorps Member at City Year. Janet began their career as a Research Assistant at the Cornell Infant Studies Lab in Cornell University.
Janet Shin has a strong educational background in the field of healthcare and human development. Janet obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Development from Cornell University, from the period of 2004 to 2008. In 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Care Management and Policy at Seoul National University. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they participated in the Doctoral Program in Health Behavior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In addition to their academic achievements, Janet Shin also holds two certifications. In April 2019, they completed the SAS Programming 1: Essentials certification from SAS. Furthermore, in November 2020, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
