Matthew Gill

Matthew Gill has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Matthew started their career as a Dispatcher/Assistant Logistics Manager at Lonsdale Event Rentals from May 2013 to August 2017. In 2018, they worked as an Engineering Intern in the Projects and Technology department at Seaspan Corporation. In 2019, they joined Alloy.ai as a Data Engineer and later became the Lead Data Engineer. From March 2022 to February 2023, Matthew served as the Engineering Team Lead, Data, where they led the Data Engineering team in building and maintaining a highly scalable batch-processing data pipeline. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Software Engineer at Alloy.ai.

Matthew Gill completed their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UBC Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification as a Professional Data Engineer from Google Cloud in August 2022.
