Stacey Porter

VPN Security Engineer at Alltech International

Stacey Porter has been working in the IT field for over 20 years. From 1997 to 2012, they worked for the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in various roles, including Senior System Analyst (GLASS Tester), Senior System Analyst, and President. From 2012 to 2016, they worked for ActioNet, Inc. as a Senior Systems Desktop Engineer. From 2016 to 2017, they worked for Jacobs Technology as a Senior System Engineer. Lastly, from 2017 to present, they have been working for Z, Inc. as a Senior System Engineer and for Alltech International, Inc. as a VPN Security Engineer. In these roles, they have been responsible for maintaining the SSL Pulse Secure VPN infrastructure, conducting technical security analyses of systems to identify gaps and remediation, designing, implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures, managing desktop/laptop technical solutions, developing work breakdown structures (WBS) and project management plans, testing and engineering system/software deployments, and providing direct support to the Agency’s information technology technical infrastructure team leads.

Stacey Porter began their education journey in 1996, when they enrolled at the University of Maryland Global Campus and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services in 2001. During this time, they also attended Prince George's Community College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services in 1999. In 2016, Stacey completed a course in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance at Security Unversity.
