Mel Bergsneider has a strong background in sustainability and renewable energy. They most recently worked at Allume Energy as an Executive Account Manager and previously held the role of Partnerships & Operations Manager at the same company. Before that, they were a SolarCorps Workforce Development Fellow at GRID Alternatives. They also worked as a Partnership Representative at Carbon Lighthouse and as a B Corp Intern at Bethesda Green. Mel's earlier experience includes serving as a Sustainability Peer Educator at Indiana University and holding various roles, including Community Tourism Intern, at Fundación Runa. They also have experience as a student worker and lab consultant at Purdue University Calumet, where they also served as the President of the Environmental Club.
Mel Bergsneider received a certification in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University School of Engineering in 2022. Prior to that, Mel obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University Bloomington, with a focus on Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation and Sustainable Business. Mel also participated in a program on Sustainable Development in Northern Europe at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. Additionally, Mel earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business/Managerial Economics from Purdue University Northwest.
