Marc Punzirudu

Marc Punzirudu has a strong background in security, compliance, and consulting services. Marc currently holds the position of VP, Security and Compliance at Alogent since January 2023. Before that, they were the Field CTO at PKWARE from January 2022 to August 2022. In 2021, they served as the Director of Cybersecurity at Sikich. Prior to that, they worked at ControlScan from 2015 to 2021, holding various roles such as VP of Consulting Services, Director of Security Consulting Services, Manager of Security Consulting Services, and Senior Consultant. Marc also gained experience as a Senior Consultant at Coalfire from 2014 to 2015 and as a Senior Security Consultant at Solutionary from 2013 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Consultant at Independent IS Consulting and Remediation from 2008 to 2013, and as an IT Project Manager at Neighborhood Restaurant Partners, LLC from 2011 to 2013. Marc's work experience also includes serving as a Manager at Casual Restaurant Concepts, LLC from 2005 to 2010. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in security assessments, compliance programs, risk mitigation, and project management.

Marc Punzirudu's education history is as follows:

Marc obtained a Bachelor of Science (BScs) (BSce) degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from the University of South Florida, studying from 2010 to 2013.

Prior to that, they attended Saint Leo University from 2008 to 2010 and received an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Accounting.

Marc Punzirudu completed their high school education at Frank W. Springstead High School, where they obtained a General diploma from 1996 to 2000.

In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications. In 2014, they acquired the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA. In 2014, they also obtained the Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council.

Furthermore, in 2015, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² and the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA. Marc also obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in 2015.

In 2017, Marc Punzirudu obtained the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA.

More recently, in 2020, they acquired the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Marc also gained APMG Accredited Trainer certifications for the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) programs from APMG International in 2020.

Lastly, they obtained the Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSA) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2014 and the PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) certification from the same institution in 2022.
