The Alpega Group is looking for a Junior Accountant / Admin. This role will be part of the Finance & Payroll team. This role is based San Cugat, Barcelona.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will be working along side accountant depratment and admin payroll departament.

For Accounting:

· Support the preparation of monthly accounting (IFRS and local GAAP).

· Support the filing of the annual financial statements of our subsidiaries.

· Performing of the monthly statutory reporting (VAT tax return, EC lists, statistics).

· Communication interface for internal teams and external stakeholders such as banks, tax consultants, auditors or the tax office.

· Active involvement in various (inter-)national projects.

· Proactive engagement in process optimization projects.

For Admin:

· Maintain and update employee databases and records accurately.

· Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

· Manage the absenteeism tracking systems to ensure accurate recording of employee absences.

· Assist the payroll department by providing relevant employee information.

WHAT WE LOOK IN YOU

· Successfully completed accounting education ( or related fields).

· Good communication skills in English. Other European language is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and experience in using structured approaches to problem solving.

· Responsible, proactive, autonomous and flexible in organizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

· Willingness to continuous training and extension of the knowledge.

· Excellent skills working with MS Office (esp. Excel).
